Rosie Little's Profile

From an early age, Rosie Little has painted.

Her childhood in the 1950's in Mahana was spend outdoors and outings were to a grandmother with a wonderful flower garden.

"Our family has a collection of fine painting and that, and an emphasis on nature and walking, were my major influences.

"Nowadays I have a 'databank' of visual images of the Nelson Province. I could be described as a 'landscape-aholic'.

"I paint to express the deep joy I feel at living here, and when I paint, I know no greater happiness."
