Linda Forrest's Profile

Linda Forrest was born in London, England. She attended the Kent Institute of Art and Design from 1978 – 1982 and graduated with a BA in Three Dimensional Design (Ceramics) with distinction.

Forrest works in porcelain that she imports from England and France. Her works are raw-fired, the glazes and slips are brushed and sprayed on. Decoration is then cut through the glaze with a fine tool back to the clay body. Inlay is used either in lines or spots. She fires her work in a 17 cubic foot electric kiln in her studio overlooking the magnificent Wellington harbour.
